NYFW: Day 5 Street Style from the Tents via Guest of a Guest

As usual, the Alice and Olivia presentation was a treat for the senses. Held at the McKittrick hotel (home to the seductively mysterious theater experience, Sleep No More) show goers knew to expect something special. And they were right. One model lay "sleeping" in a glass box with an apple shaped wallet in hand, while another perched high above the crowd with 15 feet of blonde hair cascading down a mountain top. The storybook theme was a perfect backdrop for designer, Stacy Bendet's latest collection which included everything from brocade ball gowns to lace blouses. Also as usual, the venue was packed with friends and fans. We managed to corner the best dressed of the bunch for a quick photo amidst the mayhem.

NYFW: Day 4 Street Style from the Tents via Guest of a Guest

On a sunny Sunday afternoon in west Chelsea, Tracy Reese gave one of most cheerful and relaxed shows of the season. The crowd clapped and whooped as the final walk came down the runway, and everyone seemed so glad to be there that show-goers, including Fern Mallis and June Ambrose, lingered afterward to mingle and congratulate the designer. Outside of Center 548, the crowd was equally amiable, and posed agreeably amongst the snow banks for our photographer. Across the street, we snapped Suzy Menkes, Bill Cunningham, Lynn Yeager and more as they gathered for the Thakoon show. And although it was a weekend, these stunning outfits were anything but lazy.

Mara Hoffman's bohemian runway always draws an equally hip crowd of fans, friends and family. Even a toddler or two were spotted wearing full Mara garb at the show. Last season her runway featured wide brim hats, which might explain the plethora of toppers outside of the show. From beanies to floppys, our hats are off to the best dressed guys and gals of the day.

NYFW: Day 1 Street Style from the Tents (via Guest of a Guest)

Yesterday marked the first morning of NYFW and the newly redesigned tents at Lincoln Center were buzzing with anticipation. Industry big wigs including Joe Zee, Ken Downing and Leandra Medine showed up bright and early for the BCBG show. Many show goers mingled around afterward sipping Smart Water and posing for photos, although security inside the tents was tighter than in the past - keeping out many photographers without credentials. Once inside, we snapped some of the morning's very best outfits - which included plenty of practical footwear. Check out this round up for some serious winter style inspiration!

The Natty Style Files for Cosmopolitan: A Wedding in Monaco

Welcome to The Natty Style Files, a peek into the world of a fashion-obsessed gal, making a name for herself in the Big Apple, bite by bite. Expect plenty of style advice and tips to share in the fun! Read Natty's first column here.

Recently I was invited to a wedding in Monaco. The bride: a vivacious, twentysomething, Jersey-born brunette who works for a storied fashion house in NYC. The groom: a handsome banker from a well-to-do French family, with eyes for nobody but his betrothed. The two address each other with a mix of French and English pet names, live a life deemed comfortable by anyone’s standards, and above all, exude the sort of romance and passion that inspire Nicholas Spark novels. You want to hate them but you can’t because their warmth and love radiates to everyone and anyone they come in contact with. Of course, I didn’t know most of this at the time — because the invitation came in the form of a “plus one” from my best friend, Krystal.
