After an exhilarating but exhausting 8 days of runway shows, parties and trudging around town in the snow – Fashion Week has finally come to an end! As a special treat to celebrate it’s finale, I hosted an intimate dinner for some of my most fashionable friends at Mas (la grillade). With temperatures well below zero, and yet another impending snowstorm on the forecast – a relaxed and decadent meal full of smoky goodness seemed the perfect way to unwind and recap the week.
I chose Mas (la grillade) for it’s insanely delicious, but also entirely seasonal, local and mostly organic, menu. I love when I can indulge without worrying that my lamb shank has been pumped full of hormones and my broccoli is the size of a tree because it’s been genetically modified. In addition, Mas allows you to completely customize your own tasting menu (seriously – everything is available in appetizer or entrée size!) which appeals to my indecisive Gemini tendencies. I also love any excuse to dress up. So, with Fashion Week as the theme, I found it only fitting to ask my guests to come dressed in their favorite runway trend. From tutus and embellishment to tonal camouflage, everyone had something unique to bring to the (literal) table.
